I’m normally not a person to write reviews, but I want to share the experience I had working with Peoples Bank. We had recently come out of bankruptcy and no traditional banks would consider us for a loan. We received a letter in the mail from Peoples Bank stating that they could help us. I was discouraged and didn’t want to pursue it, but my husband decided to go out on a limb and give them a call. To our surprise, the Loan Officer stated that he could help us get a home. My husband and I recently bought a home in Conway, SC and obtained a VA mortgage through Peoples Bank. Danny Messier was my Loan Officer and my Processor was Jim Davis. After a humiliating experience of going through a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, Peoples Bank offered me the opportunity to obtain a mortgage two months after I was discharged from bankruptcy. All other banks and credit unions require a waiting period of 1-2 years. It took a couple of months to close the loan because I was also dealing with a “zombie” home in Florida that my name needed to be removed from prior to FHA approval of the loan. That proved to be a long and frustrating process; however, Kenny Graeber and Marilyn MacNeil never gave up on me and guided me through the steps necessary to accomplish this. He was honest about everything that was needed from me and said he would keep me updated through the whole process, which he did. Then Mike advised me he was going on vacation and Ann would be covering for him. When I spoke to Ann for the first time, I got the same professional response and never felt uneasy. They both walked me through the whole process and explained everything in detail. They were both patient with me. If I had any questions or didn’t understand something right away, they took their time to make sure I understood everything thoroughly before they hung up the phone. Their responses to my emails or phone calls were always answered right away or in a timely manner. I can’t compliment Mike and Ann enough on this whole process. Saying “thank you” doesn’t seem to be enough.  You are very lucky to have such wonderful people working for you and representing your company. Peoples Bank is an outstanding mortgage company. They were there for my wife and I when we were most in need of financial assistance. They came through with a new loan without any hesitation. This all began with a flyer from Peoples Bank in the mail. Normally, I discard solicitation letters, but for some reason, I decided to read this particular one. The result of reading the letter is more than I could have asked for.
